ALION INSTITUTE AT THE BEE HOUSE – APILAP

Grosuplje, 4th June 2022

Tyasha Alion from the Alion Institute attended a traditional event arranged by the OLDTIMER - GROSUPLJE Association of Vintage Vehicles and Motorcycles. At the Bee House, they were eagerly watching the video presentation on the historical origin of Carniolan bees in Slovenia.

The rich tradition of bees in Slovenian literature presents bees as sentient, intelligent creatures which humans should emulate.

First attendees looked at the fascinating history of old cars and motorcycle technology.
After that, they set off on a panoramic ride accompanied by nice weather and good company, including the local mayor of Grosuplje Dr. Peter Verlic.
While watching the video presentation of the historical origin of Carniolan bees in Slovenia in the APILAB — Local bee house, we learned that the local mayor of Grosuplje Dr. Peter Verlic has an affection for animals.

We were extremely contented that he support a project such as "Let's support the frogs across the street”. The city of Grosuplje remains the leading partner in co-financing the Life Amphicon project and the local project "Ringing local birds in Vodomcev gay." During the project, they efficiently managed to ring as many as 2,061 local birds. They ringed merrily 57 diverse species. These naturally include European robin, Blue tit, Hawfinch, Grey wagtail, Kingfisher, Nightingale, and others.
